SUMMER!

What a beautiful word that is. Excellent actually. Yep, today was the last day of school and it was bittersweet but still good. I just don't know if that was my last day at Kemp ever or not, thus the sadness. BUT, nonetheless, it's SUMMER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SO this means lots of hanging out, on land and by the pool, climbing, paddling, and camping, chilling with LH fams, Experiencing God (in general and the class:), TWO of my best friends' weddings (elise and lindsay), trips to Dallas, DC, and Austin-for previously stated excursions, teaching Sam Kinnard how to read, lots of reading to myself, teaching guitar to 2 lovely ladies, playing guitar, movie watching, core group doing, sister discipling, hangin with my kemp kids around town, and other various exciting activities! WHOOP! Let me know if you want to join in!

Nomading it Up!

Hello from the Nomad! This is me, as I am currently sporting the "I live at Chaney's house" motif...aka, Ashley and Landon are back from the honeymoon and i can't live in my new apartment til next week! It's all good though...I'm more than happy to give everyone their space. Interesting observations in moving:

1) We like stuff way too much.

2) Every time I move, I get rid of more and more because I hate moving it.

3) My sister laughs more than anyone I know...oh wait, I already knew that!

4) I really don't like moving. I don't like it at all! I think it stems from growing up in the same house for the last 23 1/2 years and not even changing rooms!

The three day weekend has been lovely. It's let me play a lot and also get up to date on my latest Bryan ISD teacher job searching...hopefully more on that soon!

What's Poppin With Me?

I had a kid ask me that in the hall yesterday...so now it's incorporated into the vocabulary...So, what IS poppin?

-The roomie Ashley gets married this weekend!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The pics of me and bride and bride and groom at their prayer shower a few weeks ago. I am so pumped for them! I am so abundantly blessed by Ash and Landon and thank the Lord daily for their presence in my life. Ex. Today Landon voluntarily moved all of my furniture out of the apartment! Then they are giving me free lasagna for dinner.

-Sadly, when bride and groom get married, due to groom moving in, roommate (me) must peace out. I love living with Ashley so this is a little bittersweet on my end (Yet I am SO pumped for them!) because I will dearly miss having her as a roommate. We fit like a glove. She is definitely a "heart" friend, our term for instantly connecting with someone and feeling like you've been best friends your whole life even though you've only known each other for a short period of time. Through so much grace this year we've triumphed in the waking up department together (5:30 baby), accountability time, lots of chipotle, lots of chatting, quoting Jesus videos, Landon chaperoning (on my part-joyfully i might add), and a bazillion other glorious things. Thank you for Ashley!

-So where may I move next you ask? For a short time I will be bunking with Chaney but then I get to move in with the wonderful Bekah Gooden and Amanda Holley! We are super excited about this next year and who knows what it will bring!

-In the job department, I'm praying for a job at Kemp (where I am now). I'm K-8 certifiied and it's where I want to be! I'm preparing other apps to be wise but this is where my heart is and I have no desire for anything else right now (but I know, the Lord can change it and I'm asking him to keep me open to other jobs).

-Time with the Lord in the early am has been so sweet. Words really just don't do it justice. It's just good. Morning time before the rest of the world is awake is glorious, literally. Going to bed between 9:30-11 isn't so bad when you have this sweetness to wake up to. And some coffee also:)
