Oh how I wish i could move to the mountains...
A week in Gunnison, Colorado. A week filled with five eighth graders, 2 girls, 3 boys, 1 guy leader, 2 girl leaders, eight total if you can't count, in the glorious mountains. Basically, I had a REALLY AWESOME time. I'll try and go fast, as much as i can...Let's go to the very beginning...a very good place to start...anyway... We left last Saturday morning and drove to Amarillo and spent the night in a youth house there and continued on til Sunday afternoon. Oh how i love the mountains!!!! Like really...i think i'm like a kid at Christmas to say the least. So we get up there to our conference and move into Western State College dorms and go exploring. Sad to say much prettier than A&M but I still like A&M more. I'm biased obviously. In the morning and at night we'd have a band and speaker and some skits...probably my favorite was in the morning, we had this guy who would do art with sidewalk chalk on a bedsheet and draw these beautiful pictures...gorgeous. He also did a few sculptures that coincided with his talks and if i was electronically savvy enough i would put copies of them up. However, i have no clue. You'll just have to see my pictures. After getting settled in on Sunday. Monday afternoon we went white water rafting (10 ppl in our raft!) which was so fun. All the boys wanted to flip until they figured out how cold it was...oh jr high boys...always entertaining! Tuesday morning we met up bright and early with Crested Butte Mountain Guides to go rock climbing at Buddha's Belly...strange name but it does look like it. My rock climbing gear has now been officially broken in and i had a blast! Sad to say I was defeated by the mountain several times and have the bruises and cuts to show it, but it was still so fun. I'm always up for a challenge! I think i'm gonna keep going on this climbing thing...That afternoon I took my guitar out and was playing on their equivalent of an Academic Plaza and this lady approached me. She told me that they were doing a photo shoot for the college and wanted me to be in the background playing my guitar...so i did:) so check out the Western State College fall brochure and look for me! And of course we had a way fun dance party that night...although they could've used some help with the music...The next day we went mountain biking with the same guides (Colby and Grant, check out that company...such a cool place in the Alpineer bike shop, i loved Crested Butte!) in Crested Butte on the Lower Loop...they told me they're ski lift operators in winter and rock climbing/biking guides in the summer...i told them they should be friends with my friends:) Mountain Biking was so fun! I only fell off the trail twice with my bike on top of me once. I have this big purple bruise on my thigh (sp?) to prove it. I have come to the discovery once again that i have no balance and cannot walk/ride/run/anything else in a very confined space...basically i'll fall b/c i don't move in a straight line:) but this has never stopped me from attempting to enjoy it. While we were at an art gallery there I found a BEAUTIFUL picture of the Great Wall of China that i bought for my wall. What else is always on my mind?:) Later that day I won a FREE registration for the Passion 07 Conference which was pretty tight. Passion roadtrip anyone? One of my Impact counselors was there with another church so that was great getting to bond with her while we were there...So we drove home and got lost for a little bit but made it in Friday night...I'm the navigator because I'm not old enough to drive the van...it's a long time to stay awake! Yesterday Kimberly and I decided to visit Chaney at Pine Cove and got lost and made it to Tyler in 4 hours from Dallas (how i don't know...) saw Chaney for 45 minutes and came back home. We Nalls are crazy:) Kimbo gets married in less than a month! Craziness is descending upon the Nall household if you can't tell by my writing tone. Fo sho. Anyway, I love you guys and miss everyone wherever you are. Have a wonderful day! And one day I will move to the mountains...maybe FFI?...who knows...if you have any suggestions for my future plans feel free to throw them out:)
